You need to be aware that the history of your visit will be stored on your computer for anyone to see.

If you do not want anyone to know that you have visited the Refuge website please follow the steps below. It sets out the steps you need to take to increase your safety when using the internet.

When you have finished viewing the Refuge site take these steps to keep others from knowing you have visited this site.

Select Tools > Delete browsing history. Click Delete All.

Remove the Refuge site from your computer's history:

1. On your keyboard press Ctrl-H together
2. The history of the websites that have been viewed will show in the browser window
3. Locate the Refuge folder. Right click on the folder and choose delete
4. Close the history window

Remove the Refuge site from your computer's cache:

1. Pull down the Tools menu in the browser window
2. Select > Internet Options
3. In the dialogue box click on the button "Delete files"
4. In the alert box select "OK"
5. Click "OK" again to close the window

Remove the Refuge site from your computer's history:

1. On your keyboard press Apple key + 3
2. The history of the websites that have been viewed will show in the browser window
3. Locate the Refuge folder. Ctrl click on the folder and choose delete
4. Close the window

Remove the Refuge site from your computer's cache:

1. On your keyboard press Apple key + ;
2. Select > Advanced
3. Click the "Empty Now" button
4. Click "OK" to close the window

Please be aware that it is not possible to delete only selected files from your computer's history file. Following the procedure below will result in clearing the whole history file and may put you more at risk.

Remove ALL sites from your computer's history:
1. Pull down the History menu in the browser window
2. The history of the websites that have been viewed will show in the menu
3. Click on the "Clear History" option

Remove the Refuge site from your computer's cache:
1. On your keyboard press ALT + Apple key + E
2. Press the "Empty" button
